Microseris sp. - Yam daisy
Rosette of flat toothed leaves from which the stalk emerges. New flower buds form on arched-over stems. Bright yellow flowers followed by a tufted seed head. Edible tuberous roots form an important food source to Australia's First Peoples. Roots can be roasted or eaten raw. Sunny position. Avoid shady spots. Grows best in well-drained moist soil.
